Wheel Chaired Body Builders???

April 16th 2008 02:45

I would like to share an eye opening revelation with fellow Orbler’s. Recently, as in yesterday, the cosmos delivered an uplifting message that challenged my perceptions of vibrant health and physical beauty.

It came in the form of an innocuous magazine cover that jumped out at me from the surrounding chaotic fare of visual offerings all clamoring for attention at a busy office, which was itself challenging the borders of sensual over load and outright pollution. Wheel chair body builders.

Thinking that my discovery was an anomaly, I did a quick google and was pleased to discover that it wasn’t. Sometimes a pictorial story is more informative.

Jeff Snell is a new source of inspiration for me, here's his story: Impossible is nothing.

Victor Konovalov
is a bodybuilding champion and here's his story: DMI Beyond Sports.

Kelsey Eisenhour is new to the sport, here's a bit about her: Kelsey body builder.

My excuses for not working out and exercising more, just hit the wall. What about yours? These remarkable individuals are amazing and so are the many wounded soldiers breaking back into civilian life after debilitating wounds suffered in a war beyond their control.

Veteran power, best demonstrated pictorially: VA games, USA.

What about you? Ready to get off of the couch?

I'll be right there, just need a little *. . . yawnnnn* . . umm, nap.

Then it's off to the gym, seriously, I'm not foolin here..., ah, wadda you know.

I'm with the cat, but physical health and vibrant beauty, that's me. Oh, Raven, how could you tell? Amazing people. Just flex, please, and in a wheelchair, one has to hand it to them.

It is impressive katyzzz.

Google ad's gave me a fit with this post, they'd interfere with my format and, I don't care for that. Any way to stop it?

Don't worry Raven the way things are going there won't be any left soon, but as you're such a fussy one, you can have them up top, to the side etc, etc, don't remember whether you do this on Orble or adsense, of course you can stop it altogether but personally I like a small contribution to my internet charges.

As for me, I like them there, full in your face so people have to trip over them, some do insist on skirting around them though.

Remind me to tell you how things are going, there are none there right now.

hahaha, Fog fog fog, you should be able to send your speed bump msg on his website. He's a remarkable individual. But I'll see what I can do.

Thanks katyzzz, he needed that, hahaha

Krystal,
I was stunned and wanted to share their stories. I'd never before thought of the wheelchaired as buff physically or even the possibility of that being credible.

What about you? Ready to get off of the couch?

um... what couch? We have not yet gotten around to buying one of those - after having moved in almost 7 years ago! Topically, because what would be the lounge room happens to be my Yoga-room, which is used most days for a good YOGA workout!

As we don't have a car, we walk everywhere, and I have the chores and gardening to do as well... I think along with the Yoga, I can skip the need to slim down my wallet on a gym membership, lol!!!!

I knew a wheelchair-bound teenager when I was around 7 or so..he used to hang out with my aunt's crowd in Queens. We never thought of him as "handicapped"--his arms were huge from all the wheeling he did in that old chair! Once in awhile he'd get up on crutches and race my brother and I..beat us easily with only partial use of one leg.
He was a wild man, Jimmy was..and my first impression of wheelchair people being stronger than people who could walk stuck with me all my life.

Hiya D.Armenta, the only kid that I knew that had lost limbs, was a guy with artificial legs from the knees down.

I never knew he was handicapped, we used to play chicken by throwing knives at each others feet; he left my feet bloody a few times, once deliberately, so I retaliated and when there wasn't any reaction I raised the cuff of his jeans to discover my foolishness.

The cheater. Your interaction was far more positive, hahaha.
