Censorship vs Pedantic Hedonists

Orbler’s, recently the issue of censorship has been popping up. The point isn't fully about censorship, none of us advocate censorship, with the exception of self censorship; the self discipline to exercise the rules of common decency on Orble.

The idea is simply to keep controversial photos, icons or language off the home page and if that is the point of your blog, to use the not family friendly option prior to posting

Common Decency vs Censorship

There seems to be a concerted effort being made to see who can put up the most offensive photos and title content to draw attention to their blogs. We are collectively repulsed at the thought of censorship and yet laugh at another’s cry for decorum. That’s pathetic. We vie with one another in the public domain for attention and fans, but at what cost to our selves. Are we as writers so bereft of talent and imagination that all we can come up with is risqué photos and titles to attract readers? It’s a question, not an indictment.

I have put my share of risqué photos up as the grabber for an article, having forgotten that under age kids have access to them because I don’t share my home with any of them. Finally the fickle winds of fate whistled in; I had charge of some siblings visiting my home for a week or so and found genuine reason to censor some sites and my own work

Once upon a midday’s nightmare, there existed a self absorbed lady named Gem, who hated and hated and just really fucking hated dominant men with all of her burqa clad heart n sweaty butt. She, Gem was pissed, so she really dissed the deity he (the overbearing lord god of her manor) rode upon and everything he believed in because it pleased her to do so and made her tingle with self empowerment ~ enhanced with over worked battery powered tools.

Time for a new dance partner.

I ran across a book; Energy Victory, by Robert Zubrin; to say that I like the premise and the de facto declaration of war against an insidious friendly enemy is a serious understatement. During that same time period, I ran across this photos, and I thought, hmmm, post a photo of a hot belly dancer or OPEAC tossers: fortunately sanity won out and the nubile dancing nymphet is proudly and prominently displayed.

Rape is one of the most heinous crimes imaginable. Yet few people know that the Bible often condones and even approves of rape. How anyone can get their moral guidance from a book that allows rape escapes me. Perhaps they have been lied to about the Bible and carefully detoured around all the nasty stuff in the Bible.

Paypal bane or boone?

The Boon: Setting up a Paypal virtual terminal for business use, was a pain. You wait a few days for your money after someone has transferred funds and most customers are suspicious of using the service. But in all fairness, it fills a need.
