I'm sure this will offend some of you... It offends the daylights out of me!
Another kind, gentle, peaceful, loving Muslim father is now on the run after police found his two teenaged daughters shot to death. They lived in Texas. Relatives of the father told reporters that he was angry with his daughters because they wanted to live like Westerners and not under the rigid demands of their religion and their father's rule. Can I mention Shariah Law without causing an explosion of "righteous indignation?"
The story was on Fox News Channel and you're certainly welcome to check it out. Of course, there will be those pitiful creatures who won't believe it or will be angry that I dared to mention it (like the last girl who was murdered by her father). To you, I say "Kiss my &^%!"
Counterpoint:
Deanna Laney: Delusional "urgings from God" prompted a Texas mother to kill two of her three children last year without remorse. A member of a Pentacostal church.
Article
Andrea Yates: Texas mother who drowned her five children and “intensely religious.”
Even China was appalled, acknowledging she was psychotic but never blamed her fundamental beliefs. Aren't they atheists and communists?
Article
Observation:
S.L. desperately wants to be relevant and part of the collective mindset and coolhunters for lunch bunch. Possibly the result of rejection suffered at the hands of her peers.
[T]he salvation of the world consists in the salvation of the individual soul. ~ Carl Jung
The Collective mindset: its existence depends upon the refusal of people to make fundamental inquiries into their thinking and behavior.
It is difficult to speak intelligently of "moral values" in the context of collective behavior. Moral thinking is a uniquely personal undertaking, by which individuals develop their inner sense of principled behavior. People have a need for spiritual experiences; a need to transcend the inherently limited nature of their lives and to connect up with the universe – including other people – in satisfying ways. The personal exploration and expression of moral conduct is part of this need, the satisfaction of which occurs only within individuals, not through mass-minded crusades.
But as our lives become more politicized, our sense of meaning shifts from individual to collective considerations. We become increasingly less interested in the inner voices that challenge our thinking, and become more concerned with the outer voices that demand our attention and obedience. Over time, we abandon our internally-directed world in favor of an externally-directed one.
In a politicized world dominated by collectivist thinking, men and women become unwilling to question the purposes or actions of political leaders to whom they have given over the direction of their lives; to do so, would force the kinds of internal inquiries they have long abandoned.

Coolhunting: mining the collective for the next cool-whatever, product or focal point.
"Swarm," for (me), is an ideal word to describe that collective mindset, a swarm intelligence is based on the study of collective behavior in self-organized, decentralized systems. (The demonstrated behavior of insects such as ants, bees or self the published.)
Article
Conclusion:
S.L. would have been a happy McCarthyist.
McCarthyism defined: the term describing a period of intense anti-Communist suspicion in the United States that lasted roughly from the late 1940s to the late 1950s.
Article
But S.L. will have to settle for being an Islamopobe that suffers severe Islamophobia.
Islamophobia is a neologism used to refer to an irrational fear or prejudice towards Muslims and the religion of Islam.
Article
There it is, a glimpse of my reasoning.
Now, bugger off, I've got important things to attend to.

If she does that's just sheer irrationalism, if she accepts others, that's islamophobic.
Right or wrong we can select what we choose to or not to read, personally I see it here, daily, as one view presented as being the correct one, dare one to argue contrariwise. It seems no-one likes their own personal blog views criticised, I generally stay away from it, expecting debate to be debate not the forcing of an ideology, but I do present views of others from several perspectives knowing should readers argue they are not aguing with me.

What stirs up my rancor is her ignorance about the roots of Judaism, Islam and Christianity in it's many forms; they all claim Abraham as the father of their belief system and become rabid about it. To the point that they kill each other with gun, knives, bombs, disease, and words which keep perpetuating a never ending cycle of malevolent hatred.
But maybe I'm railing against the wind, perhaps it's best to allow them to wipe out each other off the face of the earth. Perhaps primordial sludge can make better use of it than some have. Not!
Fortunately, I believe in the future if not the immediate, the now; I've experienced glimmers of inspiration and hope.

Writer's Notes
I'd just like to point out that I am "intensely religious" and have been a member of a Pentecostal church, and all four of my children are alive and well.
We must be careful, I think, not to blame a particular religious tradition for the psychotic, irrational, and/or obsessive-compulsive behaviors of certain individuals within that tradition, who, in most cases, are in the minority.
Regards,
Jeanne

To fully understand and appreciate this post you'd have to have read them all, and you'd realize that I am actually railing against a mindset that has no sense of accountability or that acknowledges that their words can result in physical harm to innocents.
However, if you'll read Taking Raven to the Woodshed, it'll help shed light about my attitude concerning this matter Jeanne. My Random Act of Kindness post most accurately defines this bird. Raven

I read your earlier posts on this topic after I'd already left my comment, and your point is well-taken. (Should have done my homework BEFORE commenting.)
Didn't see your Random Act of Kindness post, though. Where is it located?

I usually post under Lifestyles, it should be on the popular post list, hopefully that will give you some insight.
hahaha, D.Armenta I have read several of the spats you've had with she whose name must remain unspoken until the stake of reason has pierced the callous she calls a heart, and can understand why you would compare her with that fella.
Thank you all, for visiting. Raven
