Gender Wars

March 31st 2008 05:15
Is the age old battle really about, “which is the stronger sex,” or is it more about, “. . . the more survivable and sustainable gender?” If so, then I’d say that the female gender is the hands down winner. My observations have given me these insights:

1-Women, although physically weaker are more durable, a mans strength is also his bane,
2-Women are emotionally very fluid and that allows them to survive emotional trauma better than men, whose rigidity often drives them to complete suicide,
3-Neither gender is theoretically required to procreate any longer,
4-Technology can be used to protect the species more effectively than brute strength,
5-With animated sex bots, men will probably disengage from women emotionally,
6-With house cleaning chat bots, women will be to busy socializing to miss the men.

Gender Survival: for men to survive along side women, we’re in dire need of some serious genetic re-engineering, to be more sensitive, better listeners, communicative, less confrontational, less gaseous and organically acceptable in the future.

Further, we need to be intelligent enough to make the modification ourselves, so that menkind don’t wake up as sensitive, neutered, bulbous headed and gray skinned house bots, that many femi-nazi's wistfully wish us to become, and soon. So, guys, get those college science degrees, or don’t complain when we collectively find our obsolete selves relegated to side bars of trivial history.

Further guys, foolish stunts and signs like this will not endure us to our gender appropriate companions.

This terrifies me Raven - what will I do when my daughter introduces me to her series 54 T2L2 roboid stud-muffin who will be my new son-in-law??? Will surely make the grandkids a lot easier to control and make Christmas dinner a lot easier to cook, but Im not sure I can be convinced of it!!!!

We certainly are a hazardous species aren`t we... becareful not to get too close....

I am indeed impressed Ash, you understood the underlying message. We seem to be headed towards a future of test tube designer babies and the loss of our unique humanness.

Men are loosing their ability to create sperm (due , in part, to the polluted living environments we've created) and changing gender rolls that have become so clouded for both; the saddest, is the disconnection being encouraged between the genders - starting in preschools.

Ash,
I celebrate the differences between genders, because when recognized for what they are, those differences polish and perfect us both. Men need to face the reality that our roles are changing, but evolution hasn't caught up with current history and real need as yet. Darwin's theory has some flaws, if it's highly touted flexibility doesn't manifest soon, we'll need the hand of God to fix this mess.

Agent Orange has affected my ability to procreate or to resist molds and fungus's, and that is only a single pollutant of the countless many we've fouled paradise with. Sorry, if I seem morose, the whole series of event horizon's for mankind is troubling. Man could become irrelevant in the not distant future. Raven

Man is already irrelevant.

From the Earth's point of view, anyway. We're just another species crawling on the surface, aiming to rule the other creatures. Until we go too far and something gets us.

I loved this -

I celebrate the differences between genders, because when recognized for what they are, those differences polish and perfect us both.

This is the core of it isnt it? Why is it a battle at all? How did this happen? Women VS men is as bad as Evil VS Good.....No one can win when they need each other to work at all.

And thats close to the bone Raven - I was mixed in a test tube myself, back in the experimental stages. I thought I was batch 1 but Im actually batch 2 as I met a guy from batch 1 and we talked about our health issues- asthma, arthritis, migraines, lowered immune function. We are all like that. Of course they screen the emryos now and 'add things' but I think Im better for being before that!

Wont be too long before they can mix you blue eyes with black hair, 5'6" with gentleness, compassion and a bit of fire and fury for spice.

Well, kleo, this was a dead on comment; in the gender wars, neither side can be important to the other into the future unless it's by mutual consent and permission.

Well, I certainly don't fit your ideal test tube mix, hahaha.

*Grins* never said it was ideal Raven, just an example.
